American-born Daniel Francis Fouts played quarterback for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League for his entire 15-season career.

Fouts participated in collegiate football with the Oregon Ducks, setting a number of records along the way. He was later elected to the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and the University of Oregon Hall of Fame.
Fouts was a bit of an unknown when he agreed to play for the Ducks in Eugene on a scholarship from the University of Oregon. In 1969, his first year there, he made his varsity debut for the freshmen’s squad.
Fouts made his big-screen debut in 1998’s football comedy The Waterboy, starring Adam Sandler, in which he played himself.

Dan Fouts Wife: Who is Jeri Martin?
Fouts married his first wife, public health major Julianne Mehl, in 1977. The pair had met at the University of Oregon.
They later divorced, and Fouts was married for the second time in 1994, to Jeri Martin. He had two children from the first marriage and two from the second.
His first son Dominic died of cancer in 2012. The family set up the Dominic Fouts Memorial Cancer Fund, with Dan Fouts as an adviser.
He lives with his wife in Oregon, the state of his alma mater, in a two-story home he had constructed from logs in the 1970s. The house is situated in the mountains near Sisters.
