Judge Glenda Hatchett is a judge, author, and reality television star. She is the daughter of Clemmie Barnes and Paul Lawrence Hatchett.

Glenda Hatchett earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Mount Holyoke College and her law degree from Emory University School of Law.

She began her career at Delta Air Lines as a Senior Attorney and Manager of Public Relations. After several successful years with Delta, she was appointed Chief Presiding Judge of the Fulton County, Georgia Juvenile Court.

Glenda Hatchett was the first African-American female Chief Presiding Judge of a state court. She was a judge on the reality show “Judge Hatchett” for nine seasons. The show received two Emmy nominations.

She is the best-selling author of “Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say” and “Dare to Take Charge.” She now serves on the National Board of Governors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America as well as the board of the Atlanta Falcons Football Organisation.
