Jeff Thompson is a trained teacher and husband of world gymnastics champion Dominique Dawes.

Jeff taught at The Heights school in Potomac, Maryland, and got married to Dawes on May 25, 2013, a year after they announced their engagement.
The couple have been blessed with four children, including a set of twins.
Dominique Dawes Gymnastics Career
Dominique Dawes had a remarkable gymnastics career that spanned over a decade.
Dawes was born on November 20, 1976, in Silver Spring, Maryland, and began gymnastics training at a young age.
In the early 1990s, Dawes gained attention in the gymnastics world with impressive performances at the national and international levels.

She competed in the 1992 Olympics as a member of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team.

In 1994, Dawes won a team gold medal at the World Gymnastics Championships. She also secured a silver medal on the floor exercise.
The pinnacle of Dominique Dawes’ career came during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, when she competed as part of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team, known as the “Magnificent Seven”, which won the team gold medal.
Dawes also earned an individual bronze medal on the floor exercise, becoming the first African American woman to win an individual gymnastics medal at the Olympics.
Dawes additionally participated in various national and international competitions and won many other medals.
She officially retired from competitive gymnastics in 2000, and set up the Dominique Dawes Gymnastics Academy..
