Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa is a chess grandmaster from India.

In November 2017, he earned his first grandmaster norm after coming fourth with 8 points at the World Junior Chess Championship. On April 17, 2018, he earned his second GM norm in the Heraklion Fischer Memorial GM norm event in Greece.
He achieved his third and final norm at the Gredine Open in Urtiji, Italy, defeating Luca Moroni in the eighth round to become the then-second-youngest person ever to achieve the rank of grandmaster On June 23, 2018.

Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa is the fifth-youngest Grandmaster (GM) ever, following Abhimanyu Mishra, Sergey Karjakin, Gukesh D, and Javokhir Sindarov.

Praggnanandhaa won the Xtracon Chess Open in Denmark in July 2019, with 812/10 points (+7-0=3). He won the World Youth Championships in the Under-18 category on October 12, 2019, with a score of 9/11.
He became the second-youngest person to attain a rating of 2600 in December 2019. He accomplished this feat at the age of 14 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
On 20 February 2022, he became the third Indian player to win a game against World Champion Magnus Carlsen in any time format, in the Champions Chess Tour 2022 online Airthings Masters quick tournament with a 15+10 time control.
