Dina Asher-Smith, a world record holder and Olympic gold medalist, is the fastest woman in Britain. The 25-year-old, whose full first name is Geraldina, was born on December 4th, 1995, in Orpington, Greater London. She initially became serious about athletics while working as a kit carrier at the London 2012 Olympics. Her focus immediately turned to the 2017 World Championships, where she took home a silver medal in the 4×100-meter relay.

It turns out that Asher-Smith possesses both wits and physical strength. She received three As in her A Level coursework, and as a result, she was admitted to the prestigious King’s College London to study history. She earned a BA (Hons) in second class in 2017. On Friday, August 6, the 25-year-old will compete in her last Olympic competition.

She is of Trinidadian and Jamaican descent. She was a student at Perry Hall Elementary. She attended Orpington’s Newstead Wood School from 2008 to 2014.
