Jorge Vilda Career
Jorge Vilda began his coaching journey with Spain’s U19 women’s team in 2009, and has since coached the U17s and all other categories.
In 2011, he was named head coach for the Spain women’s U-17 team, where he achieved significant success, including a European Championship title.

In 2015, Vilda was promoted to head coach of the Spain women’s national football team.

Under his management, the team made remarkable performances in international competitions, like the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where Spain became “world champions of the finals.”
As a player, Vilda’s playing career only lasted seven seasons from 1991 to 1998, which saw him play for Barcelona, Rayo Vallecano, and Real Madrid.
Vilda additionally serves as “sporting director of the Spanish FA’s (RFEF) women’s national-team system and as tactical instructor at their National Coaching School.”
