Kurt Zouma pleaded guilty to kicking and slapping his pet cat in a video that also showed him saying “I swear I’ll kill it”. He admitted two offenses under the Animal Welfare Act at a hearing at Thames Magistrates’ Court.

Kurt Zouma was fined £250,000 by his club and lost a “substantial” sponsorship deal with sportswear firm Adidas. He was also sentenced to 180 hours of community service and banned from keeping cats for five years.
