Joanna Jędrzejczyk is a Polish former professional MMA fighter and Muay Thai kickboxer. She has been dubbed the greatest female strawweight MMA fighter of all time, especially by Daniel Cormier, who credits her with placing the weight class “on the map.”

Jędrzejczyk found Muay Thai when she was 16 years old while working out, and it eventually led to her competing in national and European events.

Jędrzejczyk made her professional debut in mixed martial arts (MMA) on May 19, 2012, at SFT – MMA Fight Night Diva SPA, defeating Sylwia Juskiewicz through a unanimous decision.

Phil Daru and Jose Rojas coach her strength and conditioning. Jędrzejczyk was promoted to blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu after training in the gi in 2021.

Jedrzejczyk (16-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC), a former longtime UFC strawweight champion, brought an end to her esteemed combat sports career in June 2022 when she announced her retirement following a knockout loss to Zhang Weili at UFC 275.
