Former professional mixed martial artist and Muay Thai kickboxer Joanna Jędrzejczyk is from Poland. Daniel Cormier, who credited her with “putting the strawweight weight class on the map,” has referred to her as the greatest female mixed martial artist of all time.

While pursuing fitness at age 16, Jędrzejczyk discovered Muay Thai, which eventually inspired her to participate in national and European tournaments.
Jędrzejczyk defeated Sylwia Juskiewicz in her mixed martial arts (MMA) professional debut on May 19, 2012, at SFT – MMA Fight Night Diva SPA, taking the victory by unanimous decision.
