Liukin won several medals at the World Championships. In 2005, she won three gold medals and a silver medal. Subsequently, in 2007, she won two gold medals.
She also earned silver medals on the balance beam and uneven bars, as well as a bronze medal in the floor exercise.
All through her career, Liukin won numerous national titles in the United States and eventually retired from competitive gymnastics in 2012.
Liukin retired in 2012, but still remains relevant in the sport by serving as a commentator for gymnastics games, sports analyst and presenter.
