Who Is Nastia Liukin?
Anastasia “Nastia” Liukin is a retired artistic gymnast known for representing the United States at the Olympics and winning several medals including nine World Championships medals.
Born on October 30, 1989, in Moscow, Russian, Liukin won her first senior national championships in 2005, winning gold medals on the bars and beam at the World Championships in Melbourne.

Between 2005 and 2007, Liukin won more World Championships on the balance beam and the uneven bars. In 2008, she emerged the Olympic all-around champion.
A four-time all-around U.S. national champion, Liukin has won the most medals in a single non-boycotted Olympic Games.
Liukin retired from the sport in 2012, after competing at the U.S. Classic, the Visa Championships, and the Olympic Trials.
Liukin is the founder of “The Nastia Liukin Cup”, a gymnastics competition held for Level 10 gymnasts. The event takes place annually in the United States.
