Prelate of the Roman Catholic Church Howard Hubbard died on August 19, 2023, at the age of 84.

Tributes have poured in from across the globe for the late cleric who served as Bishop of the Diocese of Albany in New York from 1977 to 2014.
Hubbard is being mourned by the Roman Catholic Church worldwide and the entire body of Christ (Churches worldwide), and is remembered for the cliche “rejoice, we are God’s people.”
About Howard Hubbard
Howard Hubbard was born on October 31, 1938, in Troy, New York, United States.
He attended St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, New York, where he earned a degree in Philosophy degree.

He also studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, as well as the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Hubbard became a priest in 1963 and later ordained bishop of the Diocese of Albany by Pope Paul VI in 1977, a time when he was the youngest bishop in the country.
After serving in other offices of the church, Hubbard resigned officially in 2014, and was succeeded by Bishop Edward Scharfenberger.
In 2015, Hubbard suffered a heart attack and a stroke. He suffered another stroke in 2023, before he final passed on.
