He replaced Alejandro Gómez in the 77th minute of a 3-0 Coppa Italia victory over Cremonese on August 13, 2016, to make his senior debut. Late in November, in another 3-0 victory for La Dea over Serie A opponent Pescara, he made his second appearance of the tournament. The teenage Ivorian scored his first professional goal for Atalanta on January 11, 2017, in a 3-2 Coppa Italia loss to Juventus.
