Who Is Ian Garry?

Ian Garry is a welterweight mixed martial artist who fights under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Garry was born on November 17, 1997, in Portmarnock, Ireland, and finished his amateur career a year after making his debut, with six wins and one loss by decision.

Garry turned pro in 2019 at Cage Warriors 101, where he defeated James Sheehan via unanimous decision.

Afterwards, he went on to win four fights back-to-back. Garry then faced UFC champions Rostem Akman and Jack Grant at different times, and emerged the Cage Warriors Welterweight Champion.

In 2021, Garry got signed under the UFC, and made his promotional debut in the same year against Jordan Williams.

He currently ranks number 13 in the UFC welterweight rankings.

On August 19, 2023, Garry was scheduled to face Geoff Neal at UFC 292, but he withdrew on health grounds and was replaced by Neil Magny.
