Bob Hope grew up with his six brothers – Jack Hope, James Hope, George Hope, Sidney Hope, Ivor Hope and Frederick Hope.

Jack was a film producer, James was an actor, and Frederick was an art director.
All the Hope brothers are now deceased.

Late comedian and entertainer Bob Hope was an iconic figure in American entertainment history, with a career that spanned over 80 years.
Famous for his work in radio, television, film, and writing, Hope is remembered for his sense of humor, and for hosting the Academy Awards 19 times.

Hope gained popularity through his radio shows, where he showcased his comedic talents and often performed in front of live audiences. His radio career included “The Bob Hope Show” and “The Pepsodent Show.”

He additionally appeared in over 70 films, both as a lead and supporting actor. Some of his notable movies include “Road to…” series with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour, “The Paleface,” and “The Lemon Drop Kid.”
One of Hope’s most significant contributions was his dedication to entertaining U.S. troops through USO (United Service Organizations) tours.
He performed for soldiers stationed around the world during World War II, the Korean War, and other conflicts. He had a signature style of performing comedy which made him a beloved figure in the industry.
Hope died on July 27, 2003, after suffering from pneumonia. He was aged 100.
