On March 13, 2023, the movie had its global premiere at South by Southwest and won the “Audience Award” for being well accepted by the audience. Serena Seghedoni of Loud and Clear Reviews and Alan French of Sunshine State Cinempex both praised the movie as “compelling” and “illuminating and nostalgic.”
