American sprinter Carmelita Jeter is a three-time Olympic medalist from the 2012 Olympic Games, winning a full set of medals – gold in the 4x100m relay (in world record time), silver in the 100m, and bronze in the 200m.

The 2011 World 100m champion, Jeter also won World titles in the 4x100m relay (2007, 2011), silver in the 200m in 2011, and three 100m bronze medals (2007, 2009, 2013).

Jeter was also a member of the silver medal-winning team at the newly created 2015 World Relay Championships in Bahamas and, in 2009, she won bronze over 60m at the World Indoor Championships, bringing her all-time World Championships medal count to nine.
At the 2009 Shanghai Golden Grand Prix, Jeter’s 100m time of 10.64 seconds made her the second-fastest woman of all time, behind American Florence Griffith Joyner’s still-standing world record of 10.49.
Jeter was a talented high school basketball player as is her brother Eugene, who plays professionally.
She graduated with a degree in physical education from California State University, Dominguez Hills (in Carson, California, USA), where Jeter set the record for the most NCAA medals by an athlete from their school and is the school’s only Olympian ever.
