Howard Webb had openly stated that he is not a fan of Manchester United FC, following accusations that he had favoured the club during a game against Liverpool.

Webb said the accusations had affected him at the latter end of his career.
Webb claims to be a supporter of Rotherham United.
Who Is Howard Webb?
Howard Webb is a retired English football referee known for officiating matches in the English Premier League and on the international stage.
Born on July 14, 1971, in Rotherham, England, Webb is ranked amongst the all-time top referees by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.

Webb officiated a number of local and international matches including the FA Cup final, the FA Community Shield, the League Cup, the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League.
In 2010, he was named the first referee to “officiate the finals of both the UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup in the same year.”
He additionally won the Referee of the Year at the FIFA Ballon d’Or awards.
Webb retired in August 2014 and began working as the technical director of the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL). In 2022, he was appointed Chief Refereeing Officer of the PGMOL.
