Howard Webb was a prominent referee in the English top-flight league, who officiated many high-profile matches.

His career as a referee saw him officiate in several FIFA World Cup tournaments, including the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa, where he refereed the final between Spain and the Netherlands.

Upon retirement, Webb took on administrative roles in football, such as serving as the Technical Director of Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), which oversees match officials in English football.

Webb won a number of accolades and recognitions including the Referee of the Year at the FIFA Ballon d’Or awards.
