English professional footballer Craig Dawson, born on May 6, 1990, plays center back for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Dawson began his playing career at Heywood St. James Youth Club before switching to Rochdale St. Clements. The Radcliffe Borough chairman, Bernard Manning Jr., approached Dawson when he was 16 years old and working as a glass collector in his neighborhood pub in Rochdale.

Dawson later made his club debut against Salford City in the midst of the 2007–2008 season. After being on loan at Clipstone, Dawson quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Radcliffe. In the 95 games he played in throughout the course of his two seasons with the club, he scored 15 goals.
