Jerome M. Hauer, who had been battling cancer, has passed away. Before his death, Hauer had developed professionally to become the CEO of a consultancy company called The Hauer Group LLC.
It was highlighted that he has previously held a number of emergency management-related roles in the states of Indiana and New York.

During Evan Bayh’s governorship, Hauer served as director of Indiana’s Department of Emergency Management from 1989 until 1993.Hauer joined IBM in 1993 to oversee initiatives for emergency response to hazardous materials, crisis management, and fire safety. In 1996, he won the Bronze prize from the International Film and TV Critics of New York for his creation of relevant training films.
