He played high school football at North Paulding high school and played college football for Georgia, where he recorded 36 receptions for 657 receiving yards and eight touchdown receptions in his final year.

Conley has previously played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans.

When he played for the Tennessee Titans, he caught four of five targets for 46 yards.

In 2015, he was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs as 76 overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.
