Popular film editor, Arthur Schmidt has died at his home at the age of 86. His death occurred on August 5, 2023. Tributes have been pouring in after his death was announced.

“RIP Arthur Schmidt. One of the first editors I ever recognized name in opening credits. He played a big hand in some of the biggest and most rewatchable movies of the last 40 years,” Chauncey Telese.
