Ian Watkins is a Welsh musician and singer. He is he son of Elaine Davies and John Davies.

His biological father died when he was five and his mother married John Davies three years later. His father John Davie is a church minister.
Ian Watkins is best known as the former lead vocalist of the rock band Lostprophets. He was born on July 30, 1977, in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
In December 2012, Ian Watkins was arrested on serious charges related to child sex offenses, including the attempted rape of a baby, and possession of indecent images of children.
In November 2013, he pleaded guilty to 13 offenses and was sentenced to 29 years in prison, with a further six years on extended license.

His parents said they were stunned to hear the charges against him. They struggled to understand what turned their son from a straight-A pupil raised in a Baptist home to a paedophile.
“This is so hard. It’s overwhelming. It has affected every aspect of our lives,” Mr Davies told the Daily Mail. “It’s the first thing a parent asks themselves – where did we go wrong? What happened?
“Ian was loved, cherished, encouraged and nurtured. We did our best. “Although no family is perfect, there is nothing we can put our finger on. This has just horrified all of us.”
