Who was Mark Margolis? ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’ Actor Dead at 83

Mark Margolis was an American actor who starred in Breaking Bad as Hector Salamanca and also appeared in the spin-office series Better Call Saul. He received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in Drama Series.

Margolis died at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York after a short illness on August 3, 2023. He was 83. He also starred in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation and played the role of Dr. Nel Apgar. Some of his other TV shows include The Equalizer, Quantum Leap, Oz, Law & Order, Crossing Jordan, Californication, and more.

He started his career in 1959. He was notable for his supporting roles in Scarface in 1983, Ace Ventura: Pet  Detective (1994), Requiem for a Dream (2000), The Fountain (2006), The Wrestler (2008), and more.
