Shane McClanahan (born April 28, 1997) is an American Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays. He debuted in Major League Baseball in 2020 and was an All-Star in 2022 and 2023.
After undergoing Tommy John surgery, McClanahan did not play his first year at USF in 2016. As a redshirt freshman, he was 4-2 with a 3.20 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 15 starts after returning from injury.

McClanahan made 14 starts for USF in 2018, striking out 120 batters and finishing 5-6 with a 3.42 ERA. McClanahan’s 120 strikeouts in 2018 rank fourth on USF’s single-season list, and he allowed only 6.01 hits per nine innings, ranking 18th in the country.
