C. J. Cron is an American professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB).

As of this writing, the first baseman is not married and he has no kids.Cron attended the University of Utah and played college baseball for the Utah Utes.
Cron was named the Mountain West Conference (MWC) Freshman of the Year in 2009 and a second-team College Freshman All-American in 2009. Cron led the nation in on-base plus slugging (OPS) (1.320) and slugging % in 2011, earning him a Baseball America All-American honour.

The Angels selected Cron in the first round, with the 17th overall selection, of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut that season with the Rookie-level Orem Owlz of the Pioneer League that year.
He has also played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers and Colorado Rockies. He bats and throws right-handed.
