Mike Mussina is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher who played for 18 seasons in the league. He is the son of Malcolm Mussina and Eleanor Mussina.

Mussina had an illustrious career in the MLB, spending the majority of his playing days with the Baltimore Orioles from 1991 to 2000 and later with the New York Yankees from 2001 to 2008.

Throughout his career, Mike Mussina earned a reputation as one of the most accomplished and respected pitchers of his era. Mussina achieved several remarkable milestones during his time in the MLB.

He was a five-time All-Star, won seven Gold Glove Awards for his defensive prowess as a pitcher, and finished in the top five of Cy Young Award voting on multiple occasions.

After the 2008 season, Mike Mussina announced his retirement from baseball on November 20, 2008, following an impressive 20-win season with the New York Yankees.

Post-retirement, Mussina has been helping out with the athletic programs at his high school and he operates a training camp for student athletes in the Montoursville area. In 2019, his exceptional career was recognized when he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
