Azizulhasni Awang is a Malaysian competitive track cyclist who was born on January 5, 1988. He is the first and only Malaysian cyclist to win a medal at the Summer Olympics, earning him the moniker “The Pocket Rocketman” due to his diminutive stature.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics Parade of Nations, Azizulhasni carried Malaysia’s national flag. In 2009, he won his first World Championship medal, a silver medal in the individual sprint. His first Olympic medal came in the individual keirin at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He earned a silver medal in the same category of individual keirin at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

He won his maiden World Championship championship in the keirin in 2017 and became the first Malaysian to wear the prized rainbow jersey.
