She began her career at a young age. She signed with NEXT Model Management at the age of fourteen. She has been featured in Vogue India.

During London Fashion Week in September 2013, Gill made her runway debut for Burberry’s fashion show. Gill was the first Indian model to appear in a Burberry commercial in 2014.

She was named the face of Abercrombie & Fitch in November 2015. Gill has walked the runway for Kanye West’s Fashion Week show as well as Dior.

Since gaining world wide recognition,  Gill has addressed bullying, depression, and body image concerns on her YouTube channel, and she has stated that she “feels sorry” for online trolls.

Back in 2022, the model  attended the LuisaViaRoma for Unicef Gala. In an interview with The Guardian, the British Indian model revealed why she “would never complain about what I do.”

“You fly to all these different places, you get off the plane and have to be ready to shoot and look amazing, then you fly back out somewhere else and do it again,” she said in 2017. ” I’m always going to be grateful.”
