Killorn signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on May 19, 2012, after finishing his playing career with the Harvard Crimson men’s ice hockey team.

He won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Killorn played his 800th NHL game on April 1, 2023, in a 5-0 victory over the New York Islanders. Killorn played in all 82 games again in 2022-23, setting career highs in goals (27), assists (37) and points (64).

Killorn was named to Canada’s men’s national ice hockey team for the 2017 IIHF World Championship on April 19, 2017. Killorn won a silver medal with Team Canada on May 21, 2017, when they were defeated 2-1 by Team Sweden.
