Stu Silver Cause of Death

American screenwriter, Stu Silver has been reported dead. According to his family, he died of complications from prostate cancer on July 18, 2023, at age 76.

Born on June 29, 1947, Stu Silver was raised in Rochester. He started his career in the entertainment industry by performing in a local folk band called The Bridger Wells Trio. After graduating from Monroe High School, he moved back to New York City.

He started his career in the movie industry as an actor was his role in The Cross and the Switchblade (1970)m which was directed by Don Murray, and featured actors like Pat Boone and Erik Estrada.

In 1975, he made it to Broadway in 1975 in Dance With Me, directed by Joel Zwick. He wrote, produced, and created the 1980s sitcoms Webster and It’s Living and penned the screenplay for the 1987 Billy Crystal-Danny DeVito dark comedy Throw Momma From Train. 

Silver was also known for several movies and TV shows. Some of them include Benson, Bosom Buddies, Star of the Family, The New Odd Coupe, Brothers, Good Grief, Yellow Day, and more.
