A midfielder for the Damallsvenskan, Elin Rubensson is a professional football player from Sweden. Prior to joining FC Rosengars, she was a forward to a left-back for Champions Malmo.
2010 saw Rubensson join FC Rosengars after a successful youth career at Marieholms IS and Stehags IF. She played four seasons for FC Rosengard, scoring 13 goals in 87 games.

Rubenson made her debut for Sweden in international competition in October 2012. She was also added to the Sweden team for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she participated in all six of Sweden’s matches and shared the silver medal with Caroline Seger, Sofia Jakobsson, and Kosovare Asllani.

She agreed to a 5-year contract extension with Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC on August 4, 2018. She was chosen to be a member of the 23-person roster for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on June 13, 2023.
