Canadian soccer player Kadeisha Buchanan represents both the women’s national team of Canada and Olympique Lyonnais. In 2015, 2017 and 2020, she took home three Canadian Player of the Year awards.

Kadeisha was also given the FIFA Young Player Award for 2015. She has formerly participated in sports with the Toronto Lady Lynx, Ottawa Fury Women, Vaughan Azzurri, and Olympique Lyonnais. Kadeisha received numerous honors while co-captaining the Mountaineers, a sports team from West Virginia University.

In 2010 at the age of 14, Buchanan made her youth program debut for Canada Soccer. At the CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship in Guatemala in 2012, she assisted Canada in earning a silver medal. She was chosen to play for the Canadian women’s national team while still in high school on January 12, 2013, in a match against China.
