Jim Gaffigan Wife: Meet Jeannie Gaffigan

Jeannie Louise Gaffigan is an American actress, producer, and comedy writer. She is the wife of American stand-up comedian, actor, and author Jim Gaffigan.

The couple started dating Jim Gaffigan in 2000 after they had met in New York and married in 2003. They have three sons and two daughters. Gaffigan is a devout Catholic who stays home on Sundays.

He and his family go to St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Manhattan, where he and his wife were married and their children were baptised. They presented the graduating address at the Catholic University of America in May 2016.

In May 2018, they also presented the graduating address at his wife’s alma mater, Marquette University. As part of the graduation ceremony, they both earned honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees.

Jeannie Louise Gaffigan is best known as a writer and executive producer for The Jim Gaffigan Show, a show loosely based on her own family life with her husband, Jim Gaffigan.

She was diagnosed with papilloma of the choroid plexus, a benign brain tumour, on April 14, 2017. The pear-sized tumour was successfully removed in a nine-hour surgery at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital. Her left vocal cord remained paralysed, and she had type 1 thyroplasty in 2019 to recover her voice.
