On March 10, 1999, Cole Kmet, an American football tight end with the National Football League’s Chicago Bears, was born. The Bears selected the excellent player in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Kmet competed in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2017. He made the decision to play collegiate football at Notre Dame. Kmet played in all 13 games for Notre Dame in 2017 as a true freshman, catching two passes for a total of 14 yards.

In his 11 games as a sophomore in 2018, he played, accumulating 15 grabs for 162 yards. In 2019, Kmet’s junior year, he took over as the tight end’s starter. He was out for the first three games of the season with a broken collarbone.

In his junior year of 2019, Kmet replaced the primary tight end. He broke his collarbone early in the season, missing the first three games. He said in November that he would forego participating in the 2020 NFL Draft in order to finish his undergraduate career at Notre Dame.
