The Dutch professional soccer player Jill Roord plays as a midfielder for the Women’s Super League club Manchester City and the Netherlands national team.

A native of Oldenzaal, Netherlands, Roord started her football career with the FC Twente Vrouwen youth setup in 2008.

After spending five years with the Twente youth team, he was promoted to the club’s senior side in 2013.

Roord then signed a two-year contract with German side Bayern Munich in 2017 where she made her club debut in a 3–0 win over SGS Essen on September 2, 2017.

Following her two-year spell with Bayern, Roord joined English side Arsenal Women Football Club on May 14, 2019.

Before signing with English WSL club Manchester City on July 6, 2023, Roord played two seasons for Frauen-Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg.

Internationally, Roord represented Netherlands national team at under-15, under-16, under-17, and under-19 before being called up to the senior side in 2015.
