Who Is Carlos Salcedo?

Carlos Salcedo is a football centre-back who plays for Liga MX club Cruz Azul, as well as Mexico national team.

Salcedo was born on September 29, 1993, in Jalisco, Mexico, and started his football career with Guadalajara youth club in 2006.

On the international front, Salcedo made his debut for Mexico in 2015, and has since represented the country in various tournaments including, “Copa América, Copa América Centenario, CONCACAF Gold Cup, Summer Olympics, FIFA Confederations Cup, and the FIFA World Cup.”

He has so far made 47 appearances for Mexico and has scored one goal.

Salcedo spent time with the Tigres UANL before he made his professional debut with Real Salt Lake, in 2013.

In 2022, Salcedo signed a deal with Toronto FC, and later moved to Juárez. In 2023, Salcedo began playing with Cruz Azul after signing a three-year contract.
