Canadian soccer player Christine Sinclair has not won a FIFA Women’s World Cup. Throughout her illustrious career, she has been a vital player for the Canadian Women’s National Team, representing her country in multiple Women’s World Cup tournaments.

Christine Sinclair’s closest achievement in the Women’s World Cup came in 2003 when Canada hosted the tournament. In that edition, she helped lead Canada to the semifinals, finishing in fourth place after a loss in the third-place match against the United States.

She has played in six FIFA Women’s World Cups (United States 2003, China 2007, Germany 2011, Canada 2015, France 2019, Australia and New Zealand 2023) and four Olympic Football Tournaments (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020).

Christine Sinclair has been nominated seven times for FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year, in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2016. She is the world’s all-time leader in international goals scored for men or women, with 190 goals, and is one of the most-capped active international soccer players, with more than 300 caps.  As the world’s all-time highest scorer, Sinclair received the Best FIFA Special Award in January 2022.
