What are the health issues with Elder and Sister Holland in 2023?

Earlier in 2023, Elder Jeffrey Holland and Sister Patricia Holland were diagnosed with COVID-19.

Patricia later passed away on July 20, 2023, while Jeffrey is currently battling a kidney problem, which was caused by complications resulting from the COVID-19.

Jeffrey is currently on dialysis.

Jeffrey R. Holland Religious and Educational Career

Jeffrey R. Holland’has a background in education and served as the ninth President of Brigham Young University (BYU) from 1980 to 1989.

Holland has been a prolific author and speaker. He has written several books and delivered numerous sermons and addresses on various religious and moral topics.

In 1994, Holland was called to serve as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church.

Before he was called as an Apostle, Holland served as the Commissioner of Church Education, overseeing the church’s educational institutions, and as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, a group of general authorities who have responsibility for overseeing various geographic regions and administrative aspects of the church.
