Niamh Fahey is a football player who plays for Liverpool FC as a defensive midfielder / centre-back.

Fahey was born on October 13, 1987, in Galway, Ireland, and began her career with Salthill Devon in 2000.

She later joined Arsenal Ladies in 2008, making 18 appearances for the club. During her time with Arsenal, she played for Galway on loan and helped the team win the FA Cup.

Fahey spent six seasons with Arsenal, and in 2014, she got signed into Chelsea L.F.C.

On the international front, Fahey has made appearances for the Ireland national team, and has so far won over 100 caps for the country.

In 2022, she played her 100th match for Republic of Ireland and scored her first goal for the team during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification.

On three occasions, she was named FAI Women’s Senior International Player of the Year.
