Former reporter on USA Today Yamiche Alcindor welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Nathaniel Cline, on May 30, 2023.

Their son was named Yrie Myles Alcindor Cline.
Yamiche Alcindor Career
Yamiche Alcindor began her journalism career in 2009 as a reporter for Newsday, before she joined USA Today in 2015 as a political reporter.
She has so far had a successful career in journalism, covering a wide range of socio-political topics.

For her work in journalism, Alcindor has received numerous accolades such as the White House Correspondents’ Association’s Aldo Beckman Memorial Award and the Journalist of the Year award by the National Association of Black Journalists.
In 2018, Alcindor became a White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour, covering the activities and policies of the U.S. presidency.
Alongside her work at PBS NewsHour, Alcindor has also served as a contributor for NBC News and MSNBC as a political analyst.
Alcindor stepped down as moderator of Washington Week in 2023, in order to “focus on her commitments to NBC News and to complete her upcoming memoir.”
