Joan Gilbert is the second wife of late Harry Frankfurt. The duo got married after Frankfurt’s divorce from his first wife, Marilyn Rothman.

Harry Frankfurt Academic Career
Harry Frankfurt began his academic career as an assistant professor of philosophy at Yale University.
He bagged his Bachelor’s degree in 1949 from Johns Hopkins University and went on to complete his Ph.D. in philosophy at Yale University in 1954.
He later joined Rockefeller University as a professor of philosophy before moving to Princeton University, where he taught for several decades until his retirement.

Frankfurt gained significant attention and recognition for his essay “On Bullshit,” which was later turned into a book in 2005.
In addition to “On Bullshit,” Frankfurt ha authored other bestselling books such as “The Reasons of Love”, and “Taking Ourselves Seriously and Getting It Right”.
Frankfurt’s research and writing covered a wide range of topics in philosophy, including the philosophy of mind, moral philosophy, and the nature of free will.
Frankfurt has received several awards for his contributions to philosophy, including the Lebowitz Prize for excellence in philosophical thought, which he was awarded in 2017.
