Late Spanish bullfighter Manolete passed away on August 29, 1947, at the age of 30.

Manolete’s death shocked the whole of Spain, leading to a national mourning. Despite his relatively short career, he remains an iconic figure in the history of Spanish bullfighting.
He was survived by his partner Lupe Sino, who later died in 1959.
Manolete’s career spanned the 1930s and 1940s, and he remains one of the greatest bullfighters in the history of the sport.
