Gael Monfils has had a successful career as a professional tennis player.
Gael turned professional in 2004 and reached the third round of the French Open in his Grand Slam debut in 2005.

He won his first ATP singles title in 2005 at the Open de Moselle in Metz, France. Since then, he has earned a total of 10 ATP singles titles.

Gael has achieved a career-high of world number 6, which he achieved in 2016, and still ranks among the top 10 players in the world.
While Gael has not won a Grand Slam title, he has reached the semifinals of the French Open in 2008 and the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
Gaels competed at the 2023 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the 2023 French Open, where he won his first round match.
He remains a key member of the French Davis Cup team.
