Who Is Matej Kovar?

Matěj Kovář is a football goalkeeper who plays for the Premier League club Manchester United, as well as the Czech Republic national team.

Kovar was born on May 17, 2000, in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic, and started his career with FC Slovácko in Czech Republic.

He then moved to England to join Manchester United in 2018, and has so far played for several other clubs including Swindon Town, Burton Albion, and Sparta Prague.

When he played for Sparta Prague, he helped the club to win its first championship title since 2014, and as a result, the League Football Association (LFA) awarded him goalkeeper of the 2022–23 season.

Kovář joined Manchester’s Premier League squad in 2022, after signing a fresh contract with the club.

On the international front, Kovar has played for Czech Republic’s U-18, U-19, U-20, & U-21 teams. He played in many tournaments including the UEFA European Championship.
