Tommy Tuberville is a wealthy American politician and former college football coach with a net worth of $16 million.

From 1995 to 1998, Tommy Tuberville was the head football coach at the University of Mississippi, and then at Auburn University from 1999 through 2008. He was the head coach at Texas Tech from 2010 to 2012.
He coached at the University of Cincinnati from 2013 to 2016. In November 2020, he was elected to the United States Senate to represent Alabama. He took office in January 2021.
According to financial reports made during his Senate candidature, Tommy Tuberville earned $23 million between 2006 and 2016. He also earned a $5 million buyout from Auburn.
Tuberville invested $1.9 million in GLC Enterprises, a $80 million Ponzi scheme, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission. When the firm failed in 2011, he lost approximately $150,000.

Tommy Tuberville retired in 2016 as one of the top 50 most successful football coaches in history. He went on to become a full-time member of ESPN’s broadcast team.
Tuberville won the Republican nomination for the 2020 Senate election in Alabama, defeating Democratic incumbent Doug Jones by more than 20 points in his maiden political campaign.
