David Muir Educational Background
Talking about his educational background, he attended Onondaga Central Junior-Senior High School where he graduated in May 1991. He then proceeded to a local Ithaca College, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in May 1995.
A lecturer Muir had in college who complimented him on having “the cut of a TV newsman” gave Muir inspiration. He studied abroad at the University of Salamanca in Spain for another semester through the Institute for the International Education of Students after spending a semester at the Institute on Political Journalism at the Fund for American Studies at Georgetown University.
