Neil Sedaka Music Career
Neil Sedaka’s career spans several decades, beginning in the 1950s with the group called The Tokens.
He later launched his solo career with the record label RCA Victor, and gained popularity with his early hits such as “The Diary”, “Oh! Carol”, “Stairway to Heaven,” “Calendar Girl,” and “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do.”

As a songwriter, Sedaka has worked with lyricist Howard Greenfield, and and many other artists. One of his greatest collaborations was “Love Will Keep Us Together,” which became a massive hit for Captain & Tennille in 1975, winning a Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
Sedaka later signed with Elton John’s record label, Rocket Records, and released successful albums like “Sedaka’s Back” and “The Hungry Years”, which came with hits like “Laughter in the Rain” and “Bad Blood.”
Sedaka’s contributions to the music industry has earned him numerous awards, including induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
