Who Is Chase Davis?
Chase Davis is a baseball outfielder who just got drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals as 21st overall pick in the first round of the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft.
Davis was born on December 5, 2000, in Sacramento, California, and grew up in Elk Grove, California.
He played college baseball for the Arizona Wildcats and high school baseball at Franklin High School.

As a freshman in Arizona, Davis appeared in 27 games, starting one and “hitting a .233 average in 30 at-bats with five runs scored, three doubles, one triple, and four RBIs.”
In his second year, Davis started 62 of 63 games as an outfielder, and “hit .289 with 56 runs scored, 13 doubles, 18 home runs, and 54 RBIs.”
Additionally, Davis played summer baseball for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League, as well as the United States collegiate national team.
His performance at the time had earned him a nomination for the Golden Spikes Award.
